Is the show suitable for children?

Answer: YES! This is a great show for children, with lots to see and do. All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.  

Please note that the show is very loud and there are crowds so during busy times (Friday) you may find the show difficult to navigate with a stroller.

Do I need to pay for my child? 

Answer: Children up to 5 years can enter the event for free. All Children will given a wristband with their names and guardian's contact details registered for security.

How much do children's tickets cost?

The price for children is 50 AED for single day and 125 AED for 3 days for children aged 6-10.

Proof of ID for the child will be required on entry to redeem a wristband to gain entrance. An adult ticket must be purchased with the child's tickets.

All children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult to gain entry to the event.

** For lost children during show days, report the incident to the nearest member of security who will alert the organising team **




Where is the show taking place?

Answer: The show has been moved from its usual halls this year, which is Zaabeel Halls 1,2,3 in the Dubai World Trade Centre.

What are the timings of the show?

Answer: The Dates are confirmed 5-7 March 2020, with Thursday 5th March being 2PM-10PM, Friday 6th March 12PM-10PM, and Saturday 7th March 11AM-9PM

Can I purchase tickets at the event?

Answer: Yes you can! However, the tickets are a bit more expensive if you buy them on the days of the show, which is why always encourage pre-show purchase of tickets so that it is cheaper for you.

If I purchase the Family Ticket, can I bring friends along?

Answer: Yes you can, the Family ticket provides you with 4 tickets for the price of 3. As long as you don't exceed 4 people, you can enter with any family member or friend.

Do people of determination need to pay to enter?

Answer: People of determination can enter for free upon submission of the People of Determination card. A chaperone can accompany the guest but will need to pay for the ticket.

Can I refund my ticket?

Answer: No refunds are available as per the terms of purchase.

Can I leave the show and come back later?

Answer: Of course, and to re-enter, you will need to keep your wristband on.

What if I don’t want to keep my 3-Day or VIP wristband on for the full 3 Days?

Answer: For security reasons you have to remain wearing the wristband otherwise you will not be able to re-gain entry.

I have a problem with my ticket, what do I do? 

Answer: You can contact your ticket seller which will either be Platinumlist +971 4 457 3212 or Virgin Tickets  +971 4 4359 300.  

Can I bring food into the show? 

Answer: No food or drinks can be brought into the venue for security reasons. 

Is parking free?

Answer: Unfortunately, there is no free parking at the Trade Centre, however, you find spaces in either Dubai Glow Garden or next to the Multistorey parking.



Can I still register for the cosplay contest?

Answer: The Cosplay Contest is by pre-application only. Contest registration is now closed.

Do I have to pay extra to meet the celebrities? 

Answer: Yes the photographs and autographs are charged separately. The VIP Ticket is best value if you’re purchasing multiple vouchers. 

When can I buy photographs and autographs? 

Answer: The vouchers will be on sale from Thursday – available to buy ONLY at MEFCC. This is limited availability and on a first-come, first served basis each day. Three day tickets start from AED 280. VIP Tickets start from AED 500. 

VIP Ticket Holders will have Buy One Get One Free on Photo and Autograph Vouchers (cheapest one free).

** You can only buy photographs & autographs on the day attending. They will be available each day on a first-come, first-served basis. **

Do I get a certificate with my autograph? 

Answer: If you are planning on getting merchandise signed at MEFCC, visit the Speedy Comics shops at MEFCC to find out how to get these certified for authenticity.

Can I get a selfie with my autograph? 

Answer: This will not be possible, for pictures with celebrities please purchase a Photograph Voucher. 


Health & Safety

What precautionry measures are being taken for Coronavirus?

We genuinely care about the health and safety of our visitors, would like to assure you that the UAE, Dubai World Trade Centre and us as the organisers of Middle East Film & Comic Con have taken all the precautionary measures for your safety. We have various hand sanitisers at your disposal around DWTC and MEFCC along with thermal cameras, the area will be cleaned regularly and we have paramedics onsite as well. 

Airports are taking precautionary measures too and screening international visitors as they enter the country.

Our visitors are advised to:  

• Wash your hands frequently

• Practice respiratory hygiene

• Cover mouth & nose when coughing or sneezing with a tissue & immediately throw into a bin

• Seek medical assistance if you develop any of the known symptoms  


Can I register as media for the event?

Answer: Yes you can, please fill the form on the press registation page, or visit the media desk at the show. 

Can I volunteer to work for MEFCC? 

Answer: We don’t need any volunteers or event staff, but look forward to welcoming you as a visitor.
