What do I need to provide to show proof of Vaccination?
Attendees who are vaccinated will need to show proof that they have they have had 2 does of the vaccine and booster shot.
This is required to enter any public space within Abu Dhabi and is in accordance with the Department of Health of Abu Dhabi.
There is two ways that attendees can show they have met the requirements required by the DOH.
- Green Pass on the Al Hosn App this applies for visitors and UAE residence. You can download the link to app here: https://alhosnapp.ae/en/home/
- Vaccination certificate with a PCR test conducted in the U.A.E within 14 days.
Please note that regulations can change, and we may not update changes to our site immediately we do not take responsibility if Attendees are not able to attend the event due to not following COVID requirements presented by the Department of Health.

I don’t have my booster shot can I still attend MEFCC?
Attendees who don’t have booster shot will need to show 96 Hour Validity PCR test that has been done in the U.A.E. There are several locations within the U.A.E that conduct PCR tests. For a list of PCR centers within Abu Dhabi please visit https://www.doh.gov.ae/en/covid-19/PCR or go to any SEHA Medical Centre.
If you are flying into Abu Dhabi (please note this option is not available for Dubai) you can take a PCR test at the airport, please ask the available airport staff on arrival for help regarding your PCR test.
There is also a PCR testing centre at ADNEC for those who want a more convenient option there is two options offered at the venue:
- AED 40 to get results within 24 hours
- AED 300 to get results within 4 hours
I am Unvaccinated can I still attend MEFCC?
Attendees that are not vaccinated will be able to attend MEFCC if they show 96 Hour Validity PCR test that has been done in the U.A.E. I am below 16 years old years old what are the regulations for me?
Attendees under the age of 12 are not required to have a PCR test to enter.
If you are between the ages of 12 and 15 you will need a 96-hour PCR test to enter the venue.
If you have the Al Hosn pass and have registered with
PCR results can be carried digitally or as a printout.

We recommend taking a PCR to avoid disappointment as rules and regulations may change.
I have a disability or a medical condition that prohibits me from taking the vaccine or a PCR test what should I do?
We recommend calling the Department of Health of Abu Dhabi to see what your options are. you will be able to find there contact information here https://www.doh.gov.ae/
Am I required to wear a Face Mask during MEFCC?
According to the Department of Health attendees are required to wear a face mask indoors. While outdoors attendees are not required to wear a mask.
Approved Face Coverings must fit properly and should be fully covering your nose and mouth.
Face coverings should be visible so staff can identify if you are wearing one. If in Cosplay a helmet or any other face cover does not fit within the regulations of a face mask.
If you are unable to wear a mask because of health issues we recommend staying safe and not attending MEFCC. We welcome you back once things get back to normal.
How do I get the Green Pass on Al Hosn?
Attendees who are using the Al Hosn App can see how to get the green pass by using the App. Which can be downloaded from here: https://alhosnapp.ae/en/home/.
Once registered with the app there should be a button that says “How to turn Green” this should let you know what is required to get a green pass.
Please also look at the protocols and colours section in the same area of the app to see the exact requirements needed to get a green pass.
