What was the first comic you bought?
My first was Spider-Man. I used my allowance to buy the book for 75 cents.

Favorite character to draw?
Black Panther and anything X-Men related.

Biggest artistic influences?
John Byrne was my favourite artist growing up. I don't see my work influenced by him but I love his work. Barry Windsor Smith is also a fav.

Favorite convention snack?
Water and fruit.

Growing up in Toronto, Ken Lashley discovered his love for comics after his mother bought him his first Black Panther issue. Years later, he fulfilled a full-circle dream by illustrating Black Panther alongside writer Reginald Hudlin in what became one of the character's most celebrated runs. With a career spanning Marvel and DC, Ken has worked on iconic titles including X-Men, Spider-Man, Superman, The Flash, and JLA. Beyond comics, he's created designs for Hasbro, Lucasfilm, Mattel, and Fox Sports, with his Fox Sports work earning an Emmy nomination.
